I suppose there must be a specific reason why the dates are not on the web site. I really hope the reason is not because the dates are unconfirmed.Tickets are already on sale and major newspapers are carrying articles on the show.
I would have thought that he would mention the trip in one of his blogs as well!
For the information of others- Bangalore for long has hosted many international acts. The company that is bringing down Richard is based out of Bangalore. A typical concert would attract about 30,000 people.I am not sure what numbers Richard attracts elsewhere, but I think we can safely A$$ume that this will be one of his bigger shows in recent times. The metal community in India is quite outraged that their yearly festival this time has softer acts like RM and BSB. I personally am enjoying their outrage. The organizer's website has also been repeatedly hacked in this regard lately.
From the perspective of a pA$$ionate fan who has spent a good part of his life following RM, this is really a dream come true. I'm sure it is this way for anyone seeing him for the first time. I was even contemplating a trip to the US at some point in the next few years just to see one of his shows! To put it mildly, I started to listen to music when I was a kid because of RM. I started playing the guitar so I could play his songs, and like all his biggest fans, I get upset the day he releases a new album because I know i'll have to wait a few more years for his next album! In the process of being a fan, I have made friends around the world and met some wonderful people, some of who are still on this board.
I for one have made sure that I am not doing anything on the 21st. This includes taking the day off from work ( yes, I work on sundays sometimes).I have told friends and family to ignore my behaviour and who I am for that brief period he is here. Some things in life are important and this is one of them.
I hope RM has a safe and fun trip here. I hope he chose a good travel agent if he wants to explore these parts!
